Sleep Peacefully Policy

The American Foundation of Utah serves as a charitable "protectorate" for our family foundation accounts. This protectorate position has several purposes:

1.   to protect the family in its continued and perpetual charitable direction of the fund;

2.   to protect the foundation accounts from the pitfalls of charitable abuse;

3.   to protect and manage the assets of the foundation with the goal to achieve above average growth and return; and

4.   to enhance the effective use of grants.
 

We monitor and protect against improper activities and transactions. We do not condone, nor do we allow, payments for products or services to be made from the foundations if such disbursements are not considered to be fair and reasonable compensation for value received. Donors who have family foundations at The American Foundation of Utah will be able to sleep peacefully at night, confident that their family foundation is being properly managed.
